Galesburg Animal Hospital, PC is an independantly owned animal hospital located at 1525 E Fremont St, Galesburg, Illinois, United States. We offer pet diagnostic services, pet general health, pet pharmacy, pet boarding, grooming, and pet emergency services to all types of pets, including exotic ones. We prioritize providing excellent, high-quality pet care to our clients and their furry (or scaly, or feathered!) friends. Boarding and grooming services complement service offering.

Role Description

Galesburg Animal Hospital, PC is looking for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Galesburg, IL. As an on-site Associate Veterinarian, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animals, administering medication and vaccinations, conducting surgeries and other medical procedures, and providing general wellness advice to pet owners. In addition, the Associate Veterinarian may need to occasionally work on weekends and evenings to provide care for emergency cases.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
• Active and in good standing veterinary license in the state of Illinois
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain medical procedures and conditions to pet owners in a clear and compassionate way
• Strong ability to work both independently and as a part of a team to provide high-quality pet care
• Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating a range of animals, from companion pets to exotic ones
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Commitment to continuing education and a desire to learn and grow in the veterinary field
• Experience in emergency and critical care medicine is a plus
