An incredible, privately-owned, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Fountain Hills, AZ is seeking an Associate Veterinarian.
A respected, privately owned small animal hospital in Arizona is looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its close-knit and experienced team. This practice has earned recognition as a runner-up for AAHA Practice of the Year, a reflection of the exceptional standards of care and the genuine commitment to quality that runs through everything they do.
This is a full-service facility purpose-built at 6,000 square feet, featuring four dedicated exam rooms, a surgical suite capable of handling up to three procedures per day, and a dedicated dental suite with digital dental radiography. Diagnostic capabilities include in-house ultrasound, endoscopy, cold laser therapy, and a full in-house laboratory with IDEXX analyzers, giving you everything you need to practice high-quality medicine.
The hospital operates a thoughtful appointment structure with 30-minute slots running from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by a 1.5 to 2-hour break for lunch and admin, then resuming from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Surgery days are dedicated and usually capped at three procedures, typically completed by 2 p.m. to allow for patient releases by 4 p.m. The philosophy here is quality over volume, with no double-booking and a genuine focus on giving each patient and client the time they deserve.
You will be joining a two-doctor team, both Academy members of the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association, supported by a dedicated office manager, three receptionists, and a strong technician team with dedicated room, float, and surgical techs. The doctor-to-tech ratio is excellent, with three technicians present when one DVM is on duty and four when two are working.
The culture is built around open communication, professionalism, and a shared passion for continuing education. The practice has no tolerance for workplace drama and is looking for someone who shares those values. There is also a long-term opportunity here, with future practice ownership being a genuine possibility for the right person.
