Our client is a privately owned veterinary hospital that has been independently owned since 2011 and is looking for a full-time or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital operates as a hybrid general practice and emergency hospital, allowing for smooth transitions for patients between GP and emergency care. The hospital treats cats, dogs, avians, exotics, and wildlife. Previous experience with exotic species is not required, as the team is happy to provide mentorship in this area.
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients, performing surgical and dental procedures, and providing client education. Appointments are scheduled for an average of 30 minutes, and doctors typically have one dedicated surgery day each week. Full time doctors work 3 or 4 days per week and, on average, every other Saturday. The hospital is looking for an experienced veterinarian to join the team. There is a dedicated on-call doctor available to provide support and mentorship, including assistance with challenging surgeries and cases.
The general practice is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturdays from 9:00am to 2:00pm, while the emergency side of the hospital operates 24/7. The hospital has been AAHA accredited since 2012. Services offered include wellness and preventative medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, acupuncture, and laser therapy. The hospital is equipped with an in-house diagnostic laboratory, digital radiography, laser surgery capabilities, F.A.S.T. scan, K-Laser, CT, and ultrasound. The practice also utilizes AI note-taking technology.
The hospital has a team of eight DVMs across its general practice and emergency services. Doctors are supported by a 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, in addition to a floating assistant. The hospital has a well-tenured and experienced team who work collaboratively.
