Hollow Creek Animal Hospital in beautiful Aiken, South Carolina, known for its southern charm, is looking to add a full-time associate veterinarian to their thriving small animal hospital.
Dr. Kevin Weis started Hollow Creek Animal Hospital in 2013 and the practice has experienced continual growth over the years. During 2022-2023 the practice expanded its work-space, adding a dental suite, and a better designed area for anesthetic induction and surgical recovery.
Hollow Creek Animal Hospital offers a set schedule with hours: M-F 8:00am – 5:30pm (closed down for lunch 12-1 M-F) and some Saturdays 8:00am – 12:00pm. There are NO on-call and NO after-hours responsibilities. We see canine and feline patients. No exotics.
Hollow Creek uses Avimark veterinary software. The hospital has digital radiography, in-house and reference labs, a designated dental suite, dedicated surgical suite, an additional wet table in the treatment area, and an in-house pharmacy.
Individual doctor’s offices for both the owner/DVM and associate veterinarian , and a modern, clean, and bright work-space for all employees.
We are searching for a candidate who can create, and sustain, a rapport and sense of trust with a spectrum of clients and their pets. The candidate must be comfortable with implementing preventative care protocols for pediatric patients and managing patients with chronic ailments. The ability to work-up and treat medical and some surgical cases is required.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree from an accredited university.
- Licensure in good standing to practice in South Carolina (and any other state an applicant may have a veterinarian license).
- Proficient in surgeries, anesthetics, sedated procedures, and dentals.
- Professional appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
- The ability to make decisions concerning patient care.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members; including receptionists, assistants, technicians, and other doctor(s).
- A commitment to practicing veterinary medicine at, or above, the standard of care, while upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
- Applicants who have successfully completed a 1 year internship will be given preference.
- Provide at least three professional references.
