Brown Animal Hospital in Peoria, IL is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our high-volume surgery and shelter medicine program, working primarily on the PCAPS mobile unit. This role emphasizes spay/neuter surgeries, community outreach, and compassionate care for shelter animals.

You'll collaborate with Brown Animal Hospital and PCAPS, enjoy a predictable schedule (Mon/Tue/Thu, 7:30–4), no emergencies, and opportunities for mentorship, benefits, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree and Illinois license or ability to obtain license.
• Experience in high-volume surgery and shelter medicine is preferred.
• Efficient, organized, and team-oriented with a passion for community medicine.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality, high-volume canine and feline spay/neuter surgeries.
• Evaluate and treat shelter animals requiring medical care following the surgery schedule.
• Maintain efficient surgical workflow while prioritizing patient safety.
• Collaborate with Brown Animal Hospital and PCAPS teams.
• Support shelter initiatives focused on improving animal welfare throughout Peoria County.
