Job summary

OXEN Technology seeks an Associate Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (Associate vCISO) to blend cybersecurity expertise with business strategy and relationship management. You will work with seasoned vCISOs, supporting risk assessments, roadmaps, and governance for client organizations.

This role focuses on translating technical findings into actionable business recommendations, managing client onboarding, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored cybersecurity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Business, Risk Management, or Communications preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP are a plus but not required.

• Collaborate with experienced vCISOs to understand cybersecurity risks and implement practical solutions.

What You'll Do

Make Cybersecurity Meaningful

Work alongside experienced OXEN vCISOs to help businesses understand their cybersecurity risks and implement practical solutions.

• Support cybersecurity risk assessments, security reviews, and strategic planning.
• Assist in developing cybersecurity roadmaps, policies, and risk management programs.
• Help clients navigate cybersecurity governance, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
• Review security findings, identify improvement opportunities, and track corrective actions.
• Support incident response planning, business continuity initiatives, and cybersecurity preparedness.
• Prepare clear, actionable reports that translate technical findings into meaningful business recommendations.

Build Relationships That Matter

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned account-management clients.

Experience That Will Set You Apart

We'd especially like to hear from candidates with experience in:

• Cybersecurity, information technology, account management, customer success, or technology consulting.
• Cybersecurity risk assessments, governance, compliance, or security policy development.
• Security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001.
• Managed Service Providers (MSPs), cybersecurity consulting firms, or technology services organizations.
• Client relationship management, business reviews, and service coordination.
• CRM, ticketing, professional services automation, or account-management systems.

Education & Certifications

A bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business, Risk Management, Communications, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

No specific cybersecurity certification is required.

Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or relevant customer success credentials are a plus.
