Bowery Valuation in the United States is seeking an Associate Appraiser to join our growing team. You will learn appraisal techniques, collect data, and support senior appraisers while developing the skills to write reports.

On-the-job training, travel to property sites, and a clear path toward certification accompany a compensation package that includes base salary, uncapped commission, and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel to property sites and work in various locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the valuation of commercial properties by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting market data.
• Conduct property inspections and gather relevant property information.
• Assist in preparing appraisal reports in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Research local market trends, property sales, and rental data.

Position Overview

Here at Bowery, we take tremendous pride in developing best-in-class appraisers across the nation. This begins by recruiting and selecting a cohort of promising talent. Once your initial onboarding is complete, you’ll join your team for lots of on-the-job training and coaching as you work to understand the nuances of the various commercial property asset types and geographies that your team focuses on. Before you know it, you’ll be writing your first report (with your manager guiding you along the way), followed by many more! The day-to-day is focused on completing appraisals, updating clients, collecting and confirming market data, and supporting senior appraisers. This role offers a valuable opportunity to learn about the commercial real estate appraisal industry, gain practical experience, and work towards becoming a certified general appraiser. You will work under the guidance of experienced appraisers, learning appraisal techniques, methodologies, and industry standards.
