Bowery Valuation is seeking an Associate appraiser to learn commercial property valuation under experienced mentors. You’ll gather market data, inspect properties, and help prepare appraisal reports while traveling to diverse sites across multiple locations.

Onboarding emphasizes training, industry standards, and long-term growth toward becoming a certified general appraiser, within Bowery's supportive, gratitude-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required in real estate, finance or related field.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel to property sites and different locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in valuation of commercial properties by collecting and analyzing market data.

Position Overview

Here at Bowery, we take tremendous pride in developing best-in-class appraisers across the nation. This begins by recruiting and selecting a cohort of promising talent. Once your initial onboarding is complete, you’ll join your team for lots of on-the-job training and coaching as you work to understand the nuances of the various commercial property asset types and geographies that your team focuses on. Before you know it, you’ll be writing your first report (with your manager guiding you along the way), followed by many more! The day-to-day is focused on completing appraisals, updating clients, collecting and confirming market data, and supporting senior appraisers. This role offers a valuable opportunity to learn about the commercial real estate appraisal industry, gain practical experience, and work towards becoming a certified general appraiser. You will work under the guidance of experienced appraisers, learning appraisal techniques, methodologies, and industry standards.
