Job description

AZDS Interactive Group is the world’s leading digital agency for the luxury hospitality industry, offering innovative marketing and technology solutions to top-tier luxury travel brands that improve their branded guest experience and deliver measurable conversion increases in room nights and revenue. We pride ourselves on our cutting‑edge digital expertise and portfolio of world‑renowned clients – from Montage Hotels & Resorts and Rosewood Hotel Group to The Ritz London, Aspen Skiing Company and 600+ luxury properties across 6 continents – but also on our forward‑looking, entrepreneurial culture & atmosphere.

Role Description

As an Associate UX Strategist, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Content Strategy at AZDS, you’ll bridge the gap between high‑level content planning and hands‑on content execution across luxury hospitality website projects and platforms. You'll own workstreams, lead client conversations, and drive content work forward, even when requirements are still evolving.

You will collaborate closely with Strategists, UX Designers, and Business Analysts, to translate project requirements into actionable content plans. You'll be expected to move work forward independently, make smart judgment calls, and flag issues early rather than waiting for someone to tell you what to do next.

You'll guide clients through content preparation, organization, and migration into the CMS, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and the premium user experience our clients expect. You'll also help clients build confidence in managing their platforms through training and documentation post‑launch.

This role requires analytical rigor, proactive problem‑solving, and tenacity. You'll thrive here if you're the kind of person who runs toward ambiguity instead of away from it — someone who's resourceful, service‑oriented, and energized by the challenge of keeping multiple complex projects moving at once.

The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience with content workflows, information architecture, and CMS logic. You are detail‑oriented, adaptable, and eager to grow into broader UX strategy responsibilities by mastering how content, design, and technology intersect.

Key Role Responsibilities
  • Content Discovery & Requirements Gathering: Lead content discovery sessions with client stakeholders to identify content needs, business goals, and user requirements. You'll need to walk into these sessions prepared, ask the right questions, and synthesize findings.
  • Content Strategy Execution: document and communicate content strategy decisions, ensuring alignment across teams and accurate reflection in all deliverables. You'll be expected to understand the why behind strategy decisions well enough to carry them forward independently.
  • Low‑Fidelity Content Artifacts: Create outlines, wireframes, or other lightweight artifacts that capture page‑level content needs and functional requirements. These don't need to be polished — they need to be useful, clear, and produced fast enough to keep projects moving.
  • Information Architecture & Content Modeling: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and document content types, taxonomies, and sitemap structures that support scalable, user‑centered experiences and CMS implementation.
  • Content Auditing and Optimization: Conduct content audits, track gaps, and organize assets to ensure content is structured, consistent, and ready for implementation.
  • Content Collection: Guide clients through content preparation and organization using proven, repeatable processes to plan for content needs and support the production of new content that aligns with the updated design strategy.
  • Content Migration: Own the end‑to‑end content entry process, including coordinating team members, tracking progress, and ensuring content is entered accurately and aligns with CMS structures and design intent. When something falls through the cracks, you're the one catching it.
  • CMS Acceptance Testing: Support CMS quality efforts by validating field structures and authoring guidelines against content requirements.
  • Client Education & Support: Provide clients with training and documentation to confidently manage their platforms post‑launch, while gathering feedback to inform continuous improvements.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
  • You move work forward without being asked. If something is blocked, you escape or find a workaround — you don't wait.
  • Clients and internal team members see you as a trusted partner, not just a coordinator. You bring ideas to the table and confidently guide conversations.
  • You manage your own workload across multiple projects without things slipping. When you need help, you ask early.
  • You can context‑switch between strategic thinking and detailed execution in the same day — and you don't see the detail work as beneath you.
  • You're comfortable saying "here's what I recommend" to a client, even when you're not 100% certain — and you know when to loop in a senior strategist for backup.
  • Tenacity: You don't give up when things get messy or unclear. You push through ambiguity, follow up relentlessly, and find a way to make progress.
  • Initiative: You ask for alignment rather than wait for direction. You'd rather propose a solution that gets refined than sit idle waiting for a perfect brief.
  • Ownership & Accountability: taking responsibility of a process or initiative knowing the “buck stops” with this person, even though multiple teams are involved in its execution
  • Tech‑Savvy: Understands and thrives in digital environments, embraces new technical concepts quickly and can effectively work with technical team members.
  • Self‑Organized: Impeccable organizational skills, with the ability to multi‑task and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to convey key messages with context, conciseness, and a spirit of white‑glove service
  • Curiosity: Resourceful and tech‑savvy, with the ability to seek out and learn new technical, UI/UX, analytics, and digital marketing & platform concepts and innovations quickly
  • Team Player: exhibits a positive, optimistic, "roll‑up‑your‑sleeves" attitude, with the ability to not only jump in and assist wherever needed
  • Agility: thrives in a fast‑paced environment, with multiple moving pieces, and can identify and lead tactics to make progress through ambiguity
  • Exceptional service‑minded relationship‑building skills to foster strong client partnerships.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills to address complex marketing challenges and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Minimum 2 years in digital content operations (CMS management, content workflows, UX/design support, or content migrations).
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating client workshops to gather requirements and align stakeholders.
  • Agency experience preferred, including managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Hands‑on experience managing content in a CMS (ideally CMS‑agnostic; WordPress, AEM, or similar).
  • Proven experience communicating directly with clients and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with UX design, development, and digital project workflows; comfortable collaborating across disciplines.
  • Experience auditing, organizing, migrating, or performing quality assurance on content.
  • Experience creating supporting artifacts such as wireframes, content outlines, or documentation to guide content implementation.
  • Experience or interest in leveraging AI tools or automation to streamline content workflows, improve efficiency, and support content planning/implementation.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Flexible time off policy – no set limit per employee
  • Remote; hybrid if located in Denver area, with 50% of work days able to be worked remotely
  • 401(k) – 4% employer match (without vesting schedule and no compensation maximum)
  • Health insurance (company pays 100% of monthly employee premium)
  • Dental insurance (company pays 100% of monthly employee premium)
  • Vision insurance (company pays 100% of monthly employee premium)
  • Life insurance (company pays 100% of monthly employee premium)
  • Opportunity to participate in the Company’s on‑site hotel & resort property familiarization travel program
  • Opportunity to participate in the Company’s month‑long Sabbatical program
  • Paid time off for major holidays

The estimated annual salary range for this role in the Denver market is 65-75k, depending on experience and location.
