About this role

BlackRock's US Wealth Advisory business ("USWA") manages the firm's relationships with US retail financial services firms and their advisors, serving end investors. It offers strategies including iShares ETFs, mutual funds, SMAs, model portfolios, alternatives, portfolio solutions, and sub-advisory programs, aiming to deliver "One BlackRock" to clients.

The USWA Strategy team develops and executes the strategic direction of USWA, focusing on industry insights, business performance, resource allocation, and initiative leadership. The Associate supports these efforts, working in agile, cross-functional teams to analyze and solve business problems, presenting solutions to senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Wealth leadership to set strategies and priorities for revenue growth.
  • Partner with strategy leaders, senior management, and business heads to shape objectives and identify opportunities, fostering stakeholder buy-in.
  • Assist in executing business strategy projects through problem identification, analysis, and planning.
  • Gather and synthesize information from industry research, publications, and colleagues across BlackRock.
  • Engage senior teams in problem solving and issue resolution based on findings.
  • Create impactful reports and presentations for stakeholders, including senior management and the Board.
  • Develop data-driven insights and monitor competitors.
  • Support ad-hoc business and functional requests.

Knowledge / Experience
  • 2-3+ years in strategy at an asset manager, investment bank, consulting firm, private equity, or multinational corporation.

  • Ability to synthesize data into presentations and reports.
  • Market-savvy with high motivation and curiosity.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for management-quality outputs.
