DUAL North America Inc. seeks an Associate Underwriter for the Earthquake division, based in San Diego, CA, with optional Chicago, IL or Denver, CO locations. The hybrid role offers a salary of $65,000–$75,000 and 0–10% travel.

The position involves performing underwriting tasks, reviewing inspections, and supporting underwriters to meet premium goals while developing producer relationships and maintaining high service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of insurance experience.
• Working knowledge of insurance terminology.
• Typing speed of at least 35 wpm.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Agency Management Systems.
• Experience in a paperless environment.
• Ability to follow policies and complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail; able to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptability to a small office environment and team support.

Responsibilities

• Perform underwriting authority: policy issuance review and correspondence.
