AeroVironment, Inc. in Pottstown, PA is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the next generation UAV systems and subsystems. You will design structural components, perform thermo-mechanical analyses, and develop prototypes from concept to testing.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 0–2 years of hardware-design experience, with proficiency in SolidWorks and related tools. Opportunity to grow in a fast-paced defense tech environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience designing complex mechanical systems.
• Experience designing machined parts, sheet metal, plastic injection molded parts, wire assemblies.
• Hands-on prototyping experience with lightweight miniature robotic systems or similar.

Responsabilidades

• Designs structural components, electro-mechanical design, payload mechanical design, and ground equipment mechanical design.
• Builds and tests systems, develops manufacturing drawings and BOMs.
• Uses CAD tools (SolidWorks), simulations (SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS), and rapid prototyping.
• Supports project managers with planning/scheduling and coordinates with manufacturing/suppliers.
