Job summary

Upper Deck in Carlsbad, CA is seeking an Associate Product Development Specialist to blend sports and entertainment in the trading card industry. The role oversees the product development cycle from concept through public release, aligning with wholesale, retail, direct, and hobby channels.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in collecting modern trading cards and a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Product Development and Design (or related field). Strong Excel and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in collecting modern trading cards (sports and/or entertainment).
Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Marketing, Product Development and Design or a closely related field or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Product Development: manage development of products in line with strategic initiatives; ensure quality and safety standards.
Product Determination: assist in category/product development aligned with licensed portfolio strategies.
Licensed Property Product Portfolio Management: support selection and evaluation of licenses with Exec. Team, Sales and Legal.
Collectibles Content Sourcing: assist in market research for vintage collectibles used in lines.
Quality Control/Ethics: monitor quality standards and ensure adherence to Code of Conduct.
