Mental Healthcare Careers seeks an Associate Therapist to join a private practice in Ventura, CA, offering a part-time, hybrid schedule with in-person and telehealth sessions.

You will maintain a minimum caseload of 15 clients per week, attend weekly supervision, and work toward growth in a supportive, HIPAA-compliant private practice environment. The role includes a base rate of $40/hour plus bonus pay based on session fees.

Qualifications

• Registered Associate Therapist in California (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC).
• Minimum of 450 BBS hours completed and fewer than 1,200 hours.
• Willing and available to provide both in-person and virtual therapy.
• Able to maintain a minimum caseload of 15 client sessions per week.
• Motivated to grow professionally and build a consistent caseload in a private practice setting.
• Must have a professionally appropriate HIPAA compliant telehealth setup outside of the main office.

Job Description

Seeking a motivated Associate Therapist to join our private practice in Ventura, California. This is a part-time, hybrid position providing both in-person sessions at our Ventura office and telehealth sessions.

Requirements

• Registered Associate Therapist in California (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC)
• Minimum of 450 BBS hours completed and fewer than 1,200 hours

• You are a therapy nerd and are passionate about psychology, the brain, and change.
• You have interests in one or all of these topics: chronic pain/ illness (from a mind-body perspective), misophonia, complex trauma, highly sensitive people.
• You would like to be trained in Coherence Therapy and experiential therapy.
• You have some knowledge about one of these modalities: IFS, parts work, somatics, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, EMDR, Coherence Therapy…but not required.
• You are looking to grow in a private practice setting.
• You are open to feedback, reliable, enjoy collaboration, and love learning.

• Therapists looking for a part-time job in the evenings and weekends only.
• Therapists that don’t do well with feedback, only use one therapy modality, only want to do “talk therapy”.
• Therapist wanting to ‘“try out” private practice.

Part-time Position – W2 position

• Provide therapy for a minimum of 15 clients a week provided we have clientele to fill your schedule.
• At this time, our practice provides individual therapy for adults and does not offer couples therapy.
• Are able to commute easily to Ventura 93003.
• Attend weekly supervision.
• Flexible scheduling options- Monday through Sunday times to see clients.
• Flexible with hours and can do after 5pm.
• Clinical Rate: $40/hour base pay + bonus pay. Bonus pay is calculated based on the fee collected for each client session, with total compensation equivalent to approximately 40–45% of the collected session fee. Example: For a session with a collected fee of $150, total compensation would be approximately $60–$67.50.
• Administrative Rate begins at: $22 / hour (supervision, progress notes, training).
