The Associate Therapist works in a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing treatment services according to the Center for Discovery Clinical Model. Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, leading therapy groups, conducting assessments, and delivering therapy sessions on-site in Des Plaines, IL.

This full-time role requires completion of CPI, CPR/First Aid, ServSafe certifications within 90 days, maintains ongoing collaboration with the treatment team, and supports discharge planning

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in a relevant field and licensure-required training.
• State requirements to conduct therapeutic interventions are completed.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications obtained within 90 days.
• CPI certification obtained within 90 days of hire.
• ServSafe certification obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Must possess a current driver’s license and be in good standing.

Responsabilités

• Ensure clinical documentation is completed timely throughout treatment.
• Establish therapeutic rapport with patients and families.
• Facilitate admissions assessments and new patient admissions with professionalism.
• Participate in weekly treatment team meetings and set goals.
• Complete required therapy sessions weekly for RTC/PHP/IOP levels with appropriate family involvement.
• Lead process-oriented and psychoeducation groups 1–2 times daily.
• Attend meals or snacks at least once per week.
• Facilitate multi-family groups and family program weekends.
• Provide utilization reviews for insurance authorizations when needed.
• Assess patients for suicidality and danger to self/others.
• Support other clinical team members during their absence.
• Communicate with Utilization Review and Business departments about authorizations and payments.
• Begin discharge planning on admission day and conduct discharge sessions.
• Confirm discharge appointments with patients and families.
• Coordinate with referral sources for continuity of care at admission/midpoint/discharge.
• Facilitate transfers to a higher level of care when needed.
• Participate in clinical outreach and program tours as needed.
• Manage crises in sessions and milieu; support milieu staff.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to maintain clinical quality.
• Perform other requested tasks; RTC on-call duties 1x per month.
