Job summary

Center for Discovery in Shawnee, KS is seeking an Associate Therapist to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team. You will provide therapy, ensure patient safety, complete clinical documentation, and support family sessions while contributing to treatment planning and continuity of care.

Responsibilities include conducting therapy sessions, admission assessments, discharge planning, and collaboration with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree required.
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
• ServSafe certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must possess a current driver’s license and be in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure clinical documentation is completed timely throughout treatment.
• Establish therapeutic rapport with patients and families.
• Facilitate admission assessments and the admission process for new patients.
• Participate in weekly treatment team and communicate weekly goals.
• Complete required number of therapy sessions weekly for patients (RTC/PHP/IOP as clinically indicated).
• Facilitate process oriented and psychoeducation groups 1–2 times daily.
• Provide utilization reviews to insurance for authorizations.
• Assess suicidality and safety risk.
• Discharge planning on day of admission and confirm discharge appointments.
• Coordinate with referral sources and outpatient providers for continuity of care.
