Job description

We’re seeking an Associate Therapist based at our office in Lafayette, CA. This position starts as part-time, with the possibility to grow into full-time. This is a hybrid position, where the primary job location is in-office at our Lafayette office, with a minimum of three days per week in-office.

At TheraThrive (an established group practice), we specialize in neurodivergent populations, including Autism, ADHD, OCD, giftedness/2e, learning disabilities/differences, TBI, high sensitivity, and autoimmune challenges. We specifically train our associate therapists in supporting and helping neurodivergent populations of all ages, including children. As your skills grow, we support you to foster your unique therapeutic strengths, and will encourage you to further develop your skills in a niche(s) that compliment our mission of serving neurodivergent clients. Associate therapists may be trained in 19 channel neurofeedback, and APCCs may also have the unique opportunity to be trained in therapeutic psychological assessment.

• Part-time is 18+ hours per week (15+ client hours, and 3+ admin)
• Full-time is 30+ hours per week (25+ client hours, and 5+ admin)

Senior Associate Therapist

A Senior Associate Therapist is a pre-licensed therapist who has, in brief:

• Worked at TheraThrive at least 1 year
• Maintained their caseload according to their job description during their course of the employment
• Consistently shown professional development as a clinician
• Consistently followed TheraThrive’s policies and procedures during the course of their employment
• Over 2,500 hours of documented clinical experience (BBS hours)
• All positive performance reviews as Associate Therapist
• Received a recommendation from their Clinical Supervisor and a TheraThrive Director to be considered for the position
• Senior Associate Therapists typically receive a significant pay increase

Requirements include

• Current State of California Registration as an APCC and/or AMFT (ASW may be considered if their required LCSW supervisor hours have already been completed)
• A keen interest in learning about neurodivergence, autism, ADHD, giftedness/2e, high sensitivity, anxiety, OCD, TBI, learning disabilities, and autoimmune disorders is essential
• An interest in working with clients of all ages (we serve children and adults)
• Willingness to write a comprehensive website bio and provide a website photo to help grow your recognition in the community
• LGTBQIA+ ally
• Sex positive
• Top-notch psychotherapy skills
• Ability and desire to work at least 18 hours per week (part-time minimum is 15 client hours and 3 supervision hours)
• Ability to work at least 2 late evenings per week
• Ability to work at least one weekend shift on either a Saturday or Sunday
• Strong technology skills (we use CounSol, Google Meet, and Google Workspace)

A big plus if you have

• Prior knowledge of neurodivergent populations, autism, ADHD, giftedness, highly sensitive populations, TBI, learning disabilities, autoimmune disorders such as PANS, etc.
• Prior clinical experience with children
• Particular experience/knowledge that will complement our mission of serving neurodivergent populations
• Family therapy and/or parenting support experience
