Job summary

Vicor Corporation, based in Andover, MA, has an opening for an Associate Test Engineer in R&D and Manufacturing. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• 0–2 years of related co-op/internship experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and embedded operating systems.
• Proficiency in C++ and Visual Basic programming.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle or SQL is a plus.
• ATE and microcontroller programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, build and support of proprietary ATE hardware and software for analog components and assemblies.
• Develop test software modules for USTA using C, Visual Basic on multiple platforms and Embedded microcontrollers.
• Analyze and implement off-the-shelf instrumentation components (GPIB, VXI, PXI, Serial).
• Provide documentation at all stages of software/hardware development.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to help develop new test procedures.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to support and optimize existing ATE.

Job Description

• Assist in the design, build and support of proprietary Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) hardware and software for a variety of analog components and assemblies.
• Develop test software modules for USTA (Universal Software Test Architecture) using existing and newer software tools (C, Visual Basic) on a variety of computer platforms as well as Embedded uControllers.
• Analyze and implement "off the shelf" instrumentation components (GPIB, VXI, PXI, Serial).
• Provide documentation at all stages of software/hardware development.
• Work closely with Design Engineering to assist in the development of new test procedures.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to support and optimize existing ATE.

Education / Qualifications

• B.S. Electrical Engineering
• 0 – 2 years of related co-op/internship experience.
• Must possess a working knowledge of Windows 10 and embedded Operating Systems.
• Programming experience with high-level object oriented languages C++. Visual Basic programming experience is also desirable.
• Experience with Databases (Oracle, SQL or ODBC) a plus.
• ATE and Microcontroller programming
• Experience of power supply testing, analog & digital hardware involving power electronics, drafting tools Altium or equivalent are highly desirable.

Compensation Data

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
