Job summary

Vicor Corporation in Andover, MA is seeking an experienced engineer to support design engineers in the development of new power supply products as well as support of existing products. You will perform evaluations, testing, document test results, and prepare comprehensive documentation packages.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in analog or power electronics, strong lab skills with oscilloscopes and meters, soldering, and the ability to read schematics and PCB layouts.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of position related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Analog or Power electronics circuits.
  • Proficient with standard electronic lab equipment: oscilloscopes, multi-meters, electronic loads, and power supplies.
  • Strong understanding of schematics, PCB layouts, circuit simulation, assembly drawings and test specifications.
  • Knowledge of component types and ratings. Understand voltage, power and current relationships, simple op amp theory, and transistor operation.
  • Excellent soldering and circuit prototyping skills.
  • Basic programming/scripting experience is a plus.
  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow-through on both verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally
  • Good computer skills, including the ability to access and utilize information from existing data base systems

Responsibilities

Compensation Data

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
Please note: This range is based on our current market driven pay structures. Individual salaries are determined based upon a variety of factors including but not limited to, a candidates overall qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience as well as company internal equity.
