Job summary

BD is seeking a Full Line Territory Manager for the USA (NJ area). The role requires 4+ days in office per week with on-site collaboration to drive sales, training and support for clinical cases.

80% travel, valid driver’s license and compliance with safety and facility access requirements are essential. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of sales experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a team with sales colleagues.

  • Experience working in a team environment, particularly with sales people.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational and planning skills.
  • Good judgment and maturity.
  • Willing to relocate to fill an open Full Line Territory Manager position.
  • Ability to travel 80%.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license with 3 years of driving history and meet BD’s auto safety standards.
  • Must meet BD background requirements and may be monitored annually.
  • Must meet customer/medical facility access requirements including drug screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the development of regional physician proctors for formal and informal training activities.

  • Supports development of regional centers of excellence and works with Marketing on the execution of territory physician training seminars.
  • Provides support for regional marketing events, conventions and symposia.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued license driver’s license with 3 years of consecutive driving history and meet BD’s auto safety standards’. Must possess and maintain a criminal background satisfactory to Bard. Criminal backgrounds may be monitored on an annual basis or as needed.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain customer/medical facility access requirements, including regular or periodic drug screenings with a satisfactory result in accordance with the requirements of the customer/medical facility serviced.
  • Understands of the needs/analysis approach to sales.
  • Understands the product buyer concept.
  • Understands contract administration.
  • Understands principles of group purchasing to include research, formulating and recommend proposal.
  • Basic anatomy
  • Ability to discuss the various products in relation to the human body
  • Familiarity with medical and surgical terminology.
