Morningstar is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support technology project delivery within Corporate Systems and Employee Experience. This entry-point role offers learning from senior PMs and program leads, with a split focus on coordination and stakeholder communication. Base location is Chicago, in-office four days per week.

The role emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and growing autonomy as you build understanding of Morningstar's product offerings and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 1–3 years in project coordination/management or related technology roles.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to work with stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic data analysis and reporting ability.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (MS Project/Asana).

Responsibilities

• Document and track project objectives, assumptions, issues, risks, milestones, and scope.
• Create schedules, identify dependencies, and manage milestones.
• Support on-time, on-budget project delivery aligned with stakeholder expectations.
• Coordinate with matrixed teams and communicate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Prepare slides and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
• Monitor project plans, mitigate risks, and escalate as needed.
