Role Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic supports chemical operations by ensuring safety, quality, reliability, and engagement. This role involves executing time-sensitive maintenance tasks safely and efficiently while maintaining high work quality.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, service, and repair process equipment including valves, pumps, piping, actuators, filtration systems, tanks/vessels, and pressure relief devices.
2. Use gauges and test instruments to diagnose malfunctions; utilize hand and power tools for disassembly, repair, and reassembly.
3. Inspect mechanical and other equipment typical of a chemical facility.
4. Coordinate with production and other departments for feedback on machinery functionality.
5. Apply root cause analysis (RCA) thinking to failures to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED; a 2-year Mechanic Degree is a plus.
2. Minimum of 4 years of general/industrial maintenance and repair experience, or 0-2 years with a 2-year Mechanic Degree.
3. Strong mechanical aptitude.
4. Solid communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with maintenance and process teams.
