The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for supporting the chemical operation in obtaining the flawless performance of safety, quality, reliability, and engagement. This role will execute maintenance tasks that are time sensitive in impact or consequence. The Maintenance Mechanic will ensure that maintenance is executed safely, efficiently, and work quality is exceptional.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Installs, services, and repairs process equipment components associated with valves, pumps, piping systems, actuators, filtration systems, tanks/vessels, pressure relief devices, pumps consistent with chemical industry.
  • Uses gauges and other test instruments to diagnose malfunctions and hand and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble system components.
  • Conduct inspection of mechanical and other equipment typical of a chemical facility.
  • Coordinate with the production and other departments for feedback on the functionality of machinery.
  • Uses RCA thinking on most failures to correct and prevent reoccurrence.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or a GED equivalent (Preferred).
  • 4 years of experience in general/industrial maintenance and repair experience.
    • 0-2 years of experience if they have a 2-year Mechanic Degree.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Solid communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with other maintenance or process experts.
