Job summary

ABB is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our North American Grid Components team in Pinetops, NC. In this onsite role, you will build bids, estimates, and quotations based on customer specifications, balancing technical and commercial factors to achieve market competitiveness and solid margins.

You will collect and organize information for proposals, including technical and cost elements, and coordinate with ERP systems and estimation tools to deliver timely, well-documented tenders.

Qualifications

• You are experienced in and excited about working with iproject management tools, estimation software, and ERP systems within the electrical equipment manufacturing and industrial automation market.
• You are eager to learn about all aspects of the proposal and manufacturing processes
• You hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and have demonstrated proficiency in electrical systems design, power distribution analysis, and industrial automation fundamentals

• Formulating competitive bids, estimates, and quotations by considering the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial aspects for each situation.
• Creating well-documented tenders in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs.
• Managing the preparation of technical, financial, and, if required, project management aspects of the bid, estimate, and quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions.
• Ensuring that inputs for editing activities related to bid, estimate, and quotation preparation are provided in a timely manner and in accordance with the established quality procedures.

Your role and responsibilities

Calling recent Electrical Engineering grads! In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and complete bids, estimations, and quotations based on customer specifications, requirements, or budget to achieve market competitiveness and high margins for the company. Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers in your area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting and collating the information required to prepare proposals, including both technical and cost elements. The work model for the role is: Onsite, Pinetops, NC #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the North American Grid Components in North America. You will be mainly accountable for:
