Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods, Inc. is seeking an Associate Technical Designer to manage fit and construction for athletic, outdoor and golf apparel. You will run fittings, create initial specs, adjust as needed and communicate recommendations to the Product Manager and Designers.

This role requires deep knowledge of grading, patternmaking and apparel construction. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Design, Sourcing and Merchandising to translate design intent into precise tech packs and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in apparel, textiles, or equivalent industry experience.
3-5 years experience working with athletic apparel, sportswear, or outdoor apparel preferred.
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system experience required.
Working knowledge of Optitex.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
Thorough knowledge of garment fit, balance, grading, and tolerances.

Responsibilities

Facilitate fit session to document technical adjustments to reflect design comments and improve fit.
Develop block pattern & technical specifications by brand/classification.
Build tech packs with illustrations, construction details, measurements, trims.
Track fit sessions from proto to production; maintain fit matrix by brand.
Collaborate with Design, Product Management, Sourcing and Merchandising teams.
Coordinate with overseas vendors for tech pack and sample development questions.
Ensure time and action calendar deadlines are met.
