Job summary

Capelli Sport is seeking an Associate Technical Design to support the Technical Design team in development, fit approval, sample management and production execution of apparel and field items. This role facilitates coordination between design, production, sales and overseas factories to meet standards, timelines and customer expectations.

A salary-based role with a minimum of 40 hours per week. 2-5 years in apparel technical design, knowledge of garment construction and PLM systems are required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in apparel technical design, product development, or production.
• Knowledge of garment construction, fit evaluation, and apparel manufacturing.
• Experience with PLM systems, Excel, and technical documentation.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordinating DVP/FIT sample requests and tracking sample status.
• Follow up with factories regarding sample development and delivery timelines.
• Review samples for construction, measurements, decoration placement, and quality standards.
• Maintain records of sample approvals, comments, and revisions in PLM and company databases.
• Support the Senior Technical Design Manager in communicating approvals and revisions to factories.
• Assist in reviewing fit samples and size sets and document fit comments.

What We Are Looking For

Capelli Sport is looking for an Associate Technical Design to join our team. The Associate Technical Design supports the Technical Design team in the development, fit approval, sample management, and production execution of Capelli Sport apparel and field items. This role assists in coordinating communication between design, production, sales, and overseas factories to ensure products meet company standards, timelines, and customer expectations.This is a salary-based role with a minimum of 40 hours per week required.

Sample & Product Development Support

• a) Assist with coordinating DVP/FIT sample requests and tracking sample status.
• b) Follow up with factories regarding sample development and delivery timelines.
• c) Review samples for construction, measurements, decoration placement, and quality standards.
• d) Maintain records of sample approvals, comments, and revisions in PLM and company databases.
• e) Support the Senior Technical Design Manager in communicating approvals and revisions to factories.

Fit & Size Set Management

• a) Assist in reviewing fit samples and size sets.
• b) Measure garments and verify specifications against approved standards.
• c) Document fit comments and upload revisions into PLM.
• d) Help maintain size-set tracking reports and sample libraries.

Production Sample Coordination

• a) Track PP and TOP samples to ensure timely review and approval.
• b) Enter comments and measurements into PLM.
• c) Coordinate with production teams regarding sample status and approvals.
• d) Escalate issues or delays to management as needed.

Technical Documentation

• a) Update and maintain tech packs, colorways, specifications, and product details.
• b) Ensure factories have current technical information and approved mechanicals.
• c) Assist with reviewing mechanicals for accuracy and consistency.

Field Items & Product Records

• a) Support creation and maintenance of style numbers and product classifications.
• b) Coordinate with design and art teams on product setup and mechanical approvals.
• c) Maintain organized product records and approval documentation.

Reporting & Administrative Support

• a) Maintain sample charts, approval trackers, and production status reports.
• b) Organize files, images, approvals, and technical records.
• c) Generate weekly updates for management regarding sample and production status.

Cross-Functional Communication

• a) Communicate with Sales, Design, Production, and Factory partners regarding product updates.
• b) Assist in troubleshooting product, fit, and production issues.
• c) Support implementation of corrective actions and process improvements.

Qualifications
