The College of William & Mary invites applications for a 4-year, non-tenure track Associate Teaching Professor in the Department/Program of Geology. Start date August 10, 2027.

The successful candidate will teach introductory geology courses and other undergraduate offerings, including potential field-based GEOL 310, with a 3-3 teaching load. A Master’s degree is required in Geology, Earth and Environmental Science, or a related field, and the applicant must have 18 graduate credits in Geology

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology, Earth and Environmental Science or related field.
• 18 graduate credits completed in Geology, Earth and Environmental Science, or related field.
• Ability to teach Introductory Geology and other lecture, lab, and seminar-style courses in the applicant's area of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory geology courses for undergraduate students (lecture and lab).
• Contribute to curriculum updates and general education course offerings.
• Possibly participate in Regional Field Geology (GEOL 310) field experiences.
