YOUR DAY AS AN ASSOCIATE TEACHER - CHILDCARE

As a full-time or part-time Associate Teacher - Childcare, your daily responsibilities will focus on cultivating a positive and effective learning environment. You will proactively manage the classroom, ensuring strict adherence to New Hampshire state childcare regulations and creating a space conducive to exploration and growth. Throughout the day, you will actively engage with the children, implementing developmentally appropriate instructional activities as directed by the Lead Teacher to support their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. You will maintain professional and open communication with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any inquiries. Collaboration with fellow educators will be essential to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for the children and the staff alike. Furthermore, you will help maintain a clean and organized learning environment, while diligently prioritizing the safety and well-being of all children under your supervision.

YOUR SCHEDULE AS AN ASSOCIATE TEACHER - CHILDCARE

We are currently recruiting for both full-time and part-time schedules for this teaching position. The standard full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm OR 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Part-time opportunities are available with shifts from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm or 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Weekend work is not required.

REQUIREMENTS FOR AN ASSOCIATE TEACHER - CHILDCARE

• At least 18 years old
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and play with kids
• Ability to follow NH child care rules (CPR/First Aid, training, etc.)

And at least one of these:

• Worked as an associate teacher before Nov 6, 2017
• Took 9 college credits in child-related classes (one must be about child development)
• Certified as a Para II educator
• Have 1,000 hours of child care experience and took a 2-year high school teacher course OR took a college class in child development OR did 30 hours of approved training OR have life experience working with kids (like teaching, camp counselor, etc.)
