Job summary

Magen David Yeshivah in Brooklyn is seeking an Associate Teacher for our Early Childhood division to support lead teachers and foster a nurturing academic environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field, is fluent in Hebrew, and is pursuing further graduate studies. Seasonal schedule follows the Jewish calendar; the school closes for summer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Must be fluent in Hebrew.
• Pursuing a Master's degree is encouraged for career in education.

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of instructional and assessment strategies as directed by the Teacher to meet individual student needs.
• Supervise students and maintain class responsibility when Head Teacher is absent.
• Assist Head Teacher with lesson preparation, materials, and equipment setup.
• Track attendance, grade assignments, and calculate grades.
• Collaborate with Head Teacher to identify student issues.

Magen David Yeshivah is looking for an Associate Teachers at our Brooklyn school Early Childhood division.

The school year is consistent with the Jewish calendar and closed during summer.

Responsibilities

• Using a variety of instructional and assessment strategies, as directed by the Teacher, to meet individual students' needs.
• Supervising students and maintaining the responsibility of the class, when the Head Teacher is not present.
• Assisting the Head Teacher with lesson preparation, including collecting materials and setting up equipment.
• Tracking attendance, grading assignments and calculating grades.
• Collaborating with the Head Teacher to identify student's issues.

Qualifications

• An Associate Teacher should hold a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Must be fluent in Hebrew
