Job summary
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, Utah, seeks an Associate Systems Engineer (T1) or Systems Engineer (T2) to support the Sentinel Program. You will demonstrate technical skills, effective communication, and collaborate across stakeholders within an MBSE framework.
You will maintain ASOTs in Cameo and DOORS, perform basic patching, and help ensure model health and integration. A STEM degree and DoD clearance are required, with growth opportunities and competitive benefits.
Qualifications
- Required for both Associate Systems Engineer and Systems Engineer levels: Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance, and a systems thinking mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM from an accredited university; familiarity with SysML/DoDAF/UAF/UML.
- Experience with MBSE, model-based engineering, and documentation processes.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate technical skills and strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work in a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment and support Cameo modeling.
- Maintain ASOTs (Authoritative Sources of Truth) such as Cameo and DOORS; keep up to date.

- Your responsibility will be to ensure the following responsibilities are met: Ensure Authoritative Sources of Truth (ASOTs) such as Cameo and DOORS are up to date.
- Support vertical and horizontal integration of ASOTs, perform basic patch operations, create branch permissions, archive branches, and update Cameo project usages.
- Troubleshoot Cameo model health and maintenance issues such as expression errors, usage errors, and performance fixes to ensure successful model integration and delivery.
- Develop Cameo modeling skills to create dictated content and follow Configuration Control/Control Management processes for creating/modifying program models.
- Document processes and own work scope to institutionalize learning.
This requisition may be fulfilled at either the Associate Systems Engineer level or Systems Engineer level.
Required for both Associate Systems Engineer/Systems Engineer levels: Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs. Must be a systems thinker who is inherently curious about how things work, enjoys troubleshooting, and is motivated to develop new skills. A strong interest in long-term growth and development in systems engineering, driven by a deep passion for the discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) from an accredited university with 0 years of related experience.
- Familiarity with SysML/DoDAF/UAF/UML Ability to clearly present and communicate ideas, concepts, and plans
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) from an accredited university with 2 years of related experience; master’s degree and 0 years of related experience.
- Experience with SysML/DoDAF/UAF/UML Experience presenting/communicating technical concepts, and plans.

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
This position may offer a competitive relocation package.
$65,800.00 - $98,800.00
$79,300.00 - $118,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
