Job summary

You will support workstations, servers, storage, and networks under supervision, contribute to documentation, and participate in on-call rotations with occasional night/weekend shifts. A passion for automation and problem-solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Background in computer engineering or CS with basic Linux and Windows knowledge.
• Post-production environment experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Bash or PowerShell scripting is a plus.
• Interest in networking, storage, and automation technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist deployment, configuration, and basic troubleshooting of workstations, servers, storage, and network devices under senior guidance.
• Respond to technical support requests from production teams and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Document common troubleshooting steps, system configurations, and workflows.
• Monitor system performance and help identify potential issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including occasional nights and weekends.
• Perform basic automation tasks and scripting using Bash or PowerShell.
• Support software license management and license servers.
• Learn and apply networking concepts, including IP addressing, VLANs, and basic firewall configurations.
• Gain hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, and macOS and assist with installations and updates.
• Develop knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, AWX, PDQ) and deployment tools (FOG, Cobbler, MDT, WDS).
