Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineering Associate to support software-intensive systems for national defense programs in our St. Louis, MO office. The role involves working on cybersecurity, satellite ground systems, cloud computing, and networking within an Agile team.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in CS/CE/SE/EE, 0–2 years of experience, familiarity with Java or C++, and a willingness to obtain a TS/SCI w/Poly clearance; the target start date is Summer 2027 after clearance.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI w/Poly clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/SE/EE or related field; 0–2 years of experience.
• Familiarity with Java, C++, Perl, Bash, or similar languages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to design, develop, and test solutions in cybersecurity, satellite ground systems, cloud computing, and networking.
• Work in a collaborative Agile environment to shape project direction.
• Support the software lifecycle across requirements, architecture, testing, docs, security, deployment, and IT support.
• Perform analysis of alternatives using collected data and recommendations.
• Assess performance using evaluation criteria and metrics.
