Job summary

Moog Space and Defense Group in Buffalo, NY seeks an Associate Systems Engineer to support diverse programs including ground vehicles, naval applications, and missiles. You will help define interfaces, develop system models, and validate requirements across development stages.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Electrical/Mechanical/Software/Aerospace/Systems Engineering with up to 2 years of experience, basic MATLAB/Simulink knowledge, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering is required.
• 0–2 years of experience in a similar systems/design engineering role or internship is a plus.
• Demonstrated strong technical written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink tools and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define system architecture, interfaces, and requirements validation with internal program teams.
• Create system-level models and simulations to support solution architectures with customers.
• Decompose requirements and verify traceability to components and tests.
• Prepare concise reports and proposal write-ups describing design decisions and analysis results.
