Job summary

Ross Stores in Dublin, CA is seeking an experienced Associate Systems Administrator to support our distribution and transportation IT systems. You will maintain hardware platforms, operating systems, and related technologies to keep DC operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

2–4 years of experience supporting retail systems and distribution software.
Experience in a complex heterogeneous computing environment supporting supply chain distribution systems.
Strong understanding of retail dynamics within a complex environment.
Experience with Distribution Center / Warehouse management systems.
Proficiency with UNIX and Windows operating systems, networking, and data center tech.

Responsibilities

Design, install, maintain, configure, secure and support hardware platforms, operating systems, wired/wireless network components, and related products and technologies.
Develop and deliver timely solutions to problems to move IT projects forward while maintaining workmanship.
Plan and execute performance baselines, monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning.
Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to supported individuals or organizations.
Perform hardware/software configuration and release management.
Use SDLC processes to develop, present and track project activity.
Design structured cabling and DC infrastructure, including fiber, switches, and cross-connection methods.
