GGP, LLC in St. Edward, NE is seeking an Associate Animal Scientist to assist more experienced team members in improving feeding, housing, sanitation, and disease control for pigs, sows, or gilts.

You will help monitor animal health, assist with treatments and vaccines, oversee movement of animals, record data, and learn breeding practices to boost production efficiency. The role includes data entry with PDA/computer and participation in estrus detection and insemination.

Responsabilités

• Assist more experienced team members to develop improved feeding, housing, sanitation, and parasite/disease control for pigs, sows, or gilts.
• Oversee feeding, watering, and ventilation systems and assist in administration of treatments and vaccines.
• Enter data regarding assessments using a PDA or computer.
• Assist in estrus detection and insemination of sows and gilts and learn breeding practices to increase production efficiency.
