Job summary

BETA Technologies in Vermont seeks an Associate Supplier Development Engineer to support a cross-functional team and drive supplier development across ground support equipment (GSE). You will evaluate supplier capabilities, implement improvements, and help ensure delivery, quality, and cost performance.

The role focuses on ISO 9001 alignment, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing to deliver robust supplier processes and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of manufacturing experience.
• BA/BS degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent years of experience.
• US Person required.
• Experience in using Digital Product Definition, 2D drawings, drafting standards, and GD&T.
• Experience working in a Lean/Manufacturing Engineering position.

Responsibilities

• Identify product improvements to improve producibility, lower risk, and reduce costs.
• Act as a technical liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to provide technical support.
• Assist in driving effective corrective actions to resolve complex manufacturing defects and eliminate root cause.
• Assist in the inspection of parts and assemblies to improve quality delivered by Beta and suppliers.
• Determine and develop quality requirements in alignment to ISO 9001.
• Determine, define, and develop processes to support quality requirements and business needs.
• Conduct supplier assessments to evaluate processes and drive supplier improvements.
• Demonstrate innovation, technical excellence, attention to detail, self-direction, and courage.
