GAI Consultants is seeking an Associate CAD Operator to support Substation projects. This position involves working with engineering and technical experts in electrical substation and protections & controls design services. The successful candidate will perform CAD work, including red-lined engineering markups for substations and protection/control projects, under engineering supervision.

Job Duties:

1. Opening, revising, plotting, and saving CAD files.
2. Assisting in compiling and verifying project document packages.
3. Knowledge of plot profiles and user profiles in CAD software.
4. Supporting CAD technicians and operators in skill development.
5. Learning multiple software platforms, including AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
6. Attending project meetings as required.
7. Managing multiple projects and working under deadlines.
8. Working extended hours when needed.
9. Contributing to improving GAI CAD standards.
10. Communicating effectively with the project team.

Minimum Requirements:

• 0 years of experience.
• Associate Degree from an accredited Technical School.
• Basic skills in 2-D line work, text edits, plotting, and creating PDFs.
• No management responsibilities; close supervision on work assignments.
• Basic oral and written communication skills.
