Associate Stylist Program

Licensed Stylist | 9-Month Advanced Training & Mentorship Program

Platinum Inc Salon & Spa is looking for motivated, career-focused licensed cosmetologists and hair designers who are ready to bridge the gap between beauty school and building a successful career behind the chair.

Our 9-Month Associate Stylist Program is a hands-on training and mentorship program designed for newly licensed or developing stylists who want additional education, real salon experience, and the confidence to transition into becoming an independent stylist.

About the Program

As an Associate Stylist, you will work hand-in-hand with a Master Stylist, assisting with real clients while receiving ongoing education and mentorship.

This isn't simply an assistant position. The goal of the program is to develop the technical, professional, and business skills you need to successfully build and maintain your own clientele.

Throughout the 9-month program, you will progressively gain more responsibility and hands-on experience as your skills and confidence develop.

What You'll Learn

Training may include:

• Client consultations and communication
• Shampooing, blowouts, styling, and finishing
• Haircutting and barbering fundamentals
• Hair color formulation and application
• Root retouches and all-over color
• Highlights, blonding, balayage, and dimensional color
• Toners, glosses, and corrective color concepts
• Hair extension consultations, installation, maintenance, and aftercare
• Proper timing and efficient service execution
• Client experience and retention
• Rebooking and pre-booking
• Professional product knowledge and recommendations
• Photography, social media, and building your personal brand
• Pricing, goal setting, and understanding the business behind the chair
• Salon standards, sanitation, teamwork, and professionalism

What You'll Do

Associates work alongside a Master Stylist during scheduled salon shifts and assist with various parts of the guest experience. Responsibilities may include preparing clients and stations, shampooing, blow-drying, applying color under appropriate supervision, assisting with extension services, maintaining sanitation standards, and supporting the Master Stylist throughout the day.

As you progress through the program and demonstrate proficiency, you will have opportunities to perform more services and begin developing your own clientele.
