Job summary

Insight Global’s client is a structural engineering firm providing construction engineering services to contractors throughout the United States and Canada. You will prepare PE/SE stamped design plans and calculations for temporary and permanent systems on construction projects, and design using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry materials.

You will communicate with general contractors and drafting teams, and travel to project sites across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in an engineering firm or construction company.

Responsibilities

Day to Day:

• Preparing PE / SE stamped design plans and calculations for temporary and permanent systems on construction projects
• Design using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry construction materials
• Written and verbal communication with general contractors and engineering/drafting project team
• Some travel to project sites around the U.S.

Requirements:

Experience

• 2 - 3 years of experience working full-time for an engineering firm or construction company
• Degree
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in
• Civil Engineering (structural focus), or
• Architectural Engineering

Coursework

• structural analysis
• geotechnical engineering

Code Knowledge

EIT licensure by hire date
