Job summary

Insight Global's client, a structural engineering firm, seeks a junior to mid-level engineer to contribute to design on U.S. and Canada projects.

You will prepare PE/SE stamped plans, design using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry, and communicate with general contractors and the drafting team. Some travel to project sites across the U.S. is expected; EIT licensure by hire date is preferred, with 2–3 years of experience in an engineering firm or construction setting.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of full-time experience at an engineering firm or construction company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (structural focus) or Architectural Engineering.
• Coursework in structural analysis.
• Geotechnical engineering coursework.
• EIT licensure by hire date.

Responsibilities

Day to Day:

· Preparing PE / SE stamped design plans and calculations for temporary and permanent systems on construction projects

· Written and verbal communication with general contractors and engineering/drafting project team

· Some travel to project sites around the U.S.

Experience

• 2 - 3 years of experience working full-time for an engineering firm or construction company
• Degree
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in
• Civil Engineering (structural focus), or
• Architectural Engineering
