Job summary

Insight Global’s client is a structural engineering firm providing construction engineering services to contractors across the United States and Canada. New engineers will work closely with engineers at all levels and have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects.

As part of the team, you will prepare PE/SE stamped design plans and calculations for temporary and permanent systems, design with steel, concrete, timber, and masonry, and communicate with general contractors and project

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in an engineering firm or construction company.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Civil Engineering (structural focus) or related structural engineering fields.
• Coursework in steel design, concrete design, structural analysis, geotechnical engineering.
• Code knowledge: ACI Concrete Code, AISC Steel Code.
• EIT licensure by hire date.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare PE / SE stamped design plans and calculations for temporary and permanent systems on construction projects.
• Design using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry construction materials.
• Written and verbal communication with general contractors and engineering/drafting project team.
• Some travel to project sites around the U.S.
