Job summary

EOA, Inc. seeks a licensed Associate Environmental Engineer to work from Berkeley or Sunnyvale (or hybrid remote and office) and support our green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) service area.

This position is ideal for an Engineer-in-Training with stormwater, drainage, grading, and GSI experience and is eager to apply those skills in a collaborative, mission-driven consulting environment. The right candidate will translate engineering requirements into practical stormwater solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with stormwater treatment, GSI and LID.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct stormwater design reviews for GSI and LID projects.
• Prepare and review calculations, stormwater reports, design narratives, and permitting materials.
• Review construction documents for compliance with stormwater requirements.
• Support California stormwater permitting processes and regulatory alignment.
• Communicate technical stormwater concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Write and review technical reports and present materials to clients and regulators.
• Support proposal, grant, report, and project development.
• Present information to agencies and community stakeholders on analyses and projects.
• Other stormwater management tasks.
