If you are passionate about advancing mission success through cutting-edge technologies and strategic thinking, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:As an Associate Solution Architect at Canvas, you will play a critical role in driving technical strategy and solution development to support business growth across diverse mission areas, including Defense, Intelligence, Civilian Space, and Homeland Security. This position requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and the ability to craft innovative, customer-focused solutions tailored to unique mission requirements.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to:Lead technical solution development for complex problems across the Mission Technology Solutions portfolio.Shape customer requirements through early engagement, market research, and identification of competitive discriminators.Develop proposal content, including technical volumes, whitepapers, and Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and respond to RFIs and market surveys.Apply advanced methodologies such as Digital Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), DevSecOps, Agile development, Cloud architectures, and Data Analytics using AI/ML, with a strong emphasis on System of Systems integration.Strong interpersonal skills working across multi-disciplinary teams to capture and develop new and innovative solutions to a wide range of complex problems.Security clearance requirements vary by position. While some opportunities may require an active Secret security clearance due to the nature of the work, others do not. Candidates without clearance are encouraged to apply, as we have roles that do not require this level of access. Clearance eligibility may be considered a differentiator for certain programs.Work Environment:Location: Huntsville, ALTravel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%Working Hours: StandardRequired Qualifications:Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, or related field); advanced degree preferred.Minimum 5-8 years of industry experience in solution architecting or directly supporting operational programs to delivery capability to customers. Preferred experience in an operational leadership role such as a Team Lead or Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead.Technical ExpertiseProven experience in one or more mission areas: Defense, Intelligence, Civilian Space, or Homeland Security.Strong background in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), System of Systems integration, architecture, and infrastructure.Familiarity with advanced methodologies such as:Digital EngineeringModel-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)DevSecOpsAgile development (software or hardware)Cloud architecturesData Analytics, AI/ML methodologiesCybersecurityBusiness Development & Proposal SkillsDemonstrated ability to create, lead, or deliver technical solution development for complex problems for proposal volumes or operational programs.Experience writing technical solutions, whitepapers, and developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) as part of a proposal.Ability to respond to RFIs, market surveys, and support customer shaping efforts.Leadership & CommunicationExceptional leadership skills with the ability to mentor teams, foster collaboration, and engage stakeholders.Strong communication and presentation skills for interfacing with customers and internal leadership.Ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams, foster collaboration, and engage stakeholders.Demonstrate effective use multiple communication methods to work across geographically dispersed teams collaborating on shared artifacts.Security ClearanceSecurity clearance eligibility is required.
