Job summary

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operations products, is seeking an Associate Software Engineer for our Columbus, Ohio location.

As a Kimball Midwest associate, you’ll be part of a growth-driven, family-owned company committed to individuals and strong values. The role covers the full software lifecycle, from design to delivery and post-launch support, with on-site work in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years of experience developing software applications using object-oriented programming languages, preferably C#.
• Experience with relational databases – querying, design, implementation, and optimization.
• Conceptual understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD, collaborating with operations to automate the lifecycle.
• Experience with cloud computing, deploying and managing cloud-based applications.
• Ability to work outside of normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for creating, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions for stability and continuity.
• Deliver high-quality, innovative solutions with consistent, delightful experiences.
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle from concept/design to delivery and post-launch support.
• Collaborate with product partners and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specs.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
