Job summary

Garner Health is seeking an Associate Software Engineer in New York to join our Engineering team. You will help build, optimize, and maintain software systems that analyze billions of medical records to rank providers and improve care at scale.

You’ll work across front-end and back-end technologies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to secure coding practices while learning advanced AI-driven tooling like Claude Code.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or student with expected graduation in 2026/2027 in CS or related STEM field.
• Solid CS fundamentals with front-end or back-end experience in the listed technologies.
• Experience with a database system such as PostgreSQL or ElasticSearch; familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Docker) is a plus.
• Exposure to building with AI coding agents (Claude Code) is a plus.
• Track record of shipping high-quality features via internships or personal projects.
• Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.
