Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie is seeking a Warehouse Associate to pick, receive, and stock goods in Columbus, OH. The role covers forklift operation, shipping document creation, and safe handling of materials in a fast-paced environment.

You will work Monday-Thursday, 7:00 pm - 5:30 pm with overtime as needed, supporting on-time customer orders and maintaining accuracy in stock and paperwork. The position emphasizes safety and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Powered Industrial Truck Certification required (will certify at hire).
• D.O.T. HazMat Training required (will certify at hire).
• 1 year of warehouse, logistics, and/or shipping experience required.
• Operate forklift, reach truck, order picker, and electric pallet jack.
• Safety: prioritize safety by demonstrating safe work practices and promoting a safe work environment.
• Mathematical Reasoning: add/subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide with 10s/100s.
• Ability to work independently: follow written and oral instructions, including safety guidelines and company policies.

YOU

As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for picking/LTL, receiving/UPS, and/or stocking finished goods needed to fulfill customer orders. This position is scheduled Monday - Thursday, 7:00 pm - 5:30 pm, with overtime as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)

• Complete shipments using ERP system and/or tablet. Pull, package, and palletize products for shipment. Ensure incoming and outgoing shipments meet packaging, customer, and quality standards. Receive, stock, and rotate product. Identify, tag, store and locate finished inventory. (70%)
• Create and apply documents, such as shipping labels, packing list, and bills of lading for each pallet/shipment. (10%)
• Maintain a clean work environment. (10%)
• Other duties as assigned. (10%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck Certification required (will certify at hire).
• D.O.T. HazMat Training required (will certify at hire).

PAY

$17.60 - $26.39 / hour + $2.00 Shift Differential
