Oshkosh Corporation's JLG brand is seeking an Associate Level Service Technician to perform basic repairs, calibration and preventative maintenance on equipment. The role supports other technicians and helps with troubleshooting to grow knowledge of machine repair and safe work habits.

This position involves loading/unloading equipment, keeping a yard organized, and assisting with parts processes while maintaining a clean work area. Open across U.S.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (field) or 35 pounds (general).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

  • Perform simple repairs and preventive maintenance under supervision.
  • Clean machines in preparation to be moved into the shop for estimation or repairs.
  • Support other technicians in inspection and diagnosis of equipment issues.
  • Loading and unloading equipment and maintaining an organized yard area.
  • May also be responsible for maintaining and organizing parts and materials processes.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Assist with repairs to learn safe work habits and gain knowledge of machine repair, calibration, and adjustments.

The associate level Service Technician is responsible for basic repairs, calibration, and preventative maintenance on equipment. This position will assist other technicians in the equipment diagnosis and repairs, to further their knowledge and understanding of troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned:

  • Perform simple repairs and preventive maintenance under supervision Service Technicians, Sr. Service Technicians, Lead Technicians and/or Service Manager.
  • Clean machines in preparation to be moved into the shop for estimation or repairs.
  • Support other technicians in inspection and diagnosis of equipment issues.
  • Loading and unloading equipment and maintaining an organized yard area.
  • May also be responsible for maintaining and organizing parts and materials processes.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Assist with repairs equipment in order to learn safe work habits and gain knowledge of machine repair, calibration, and adjustments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED ; or previous contracting experience with Oshkosh Corporation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the role .
  • Valid driver's license must be always maintained.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service lifts and other equipment.
  • Basic mechanic skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience using standard hand tools.
WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This role combines office-based administrative duties with physical activity in field or production environments.
  • In the office setting, tasks may require extended computer use, sitting, and attending meetings.
  • Field or floor work may involve walking across various terrains or shop floors, standing, moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing stairs, and exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels.
  • Must be able to shift focus between detailed cognitive work and occasional physical tasks as needed.

Pay Range:

$42,100.00 - $64,500.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
