Job summary

Globus Medical in Memphis, TN seeks an Associate Service Depot / Repair Technician to support inspection, troubleshooting, repair and refurbishment of surgical equipment and powered devices. You will work in a Memphis-based hub, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance while documenting repairs and maintaining inventory records.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in a technical role with a robotics background preferred.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repair in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic medical devices, consoles, and powered surgical equipment.
• Perform component-level repair, soldering, wiring, and bench testing.
• Inspect returned devices for electrical, mechanical, and functional failures.
• Maintain repair records and support RMA processing and inventory transactions.
• Assist with depot refurbishment and provide technical support to field service.

This role operates within the Memphis-based Global Distribution Hub, ensuring compliance with company quality standards, FDA regulations, and ISO requirements.Essential Functions:Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic medical devices, consoles, and powered surgical equipmentPerform component-level repair, replacement, soldering, wiring, and bench testing activitiesInspect returned devices for electrical, mechanical, and functional failuresExecute functional verification and quality testing following repair activitiesSupport returned material authorization (RMA) processing including receiving, diagnosis, documentation, and repair trackingMaintain accurate repair records, failure analysis documentation, and inventory transactions within ERP or tracking systemsAssist with depot-level refurbishment and rework activities for field-returned devicesSupport technical troubleshooting requests from field service and operations teamsPerform firmware/software loading, configuration, and validation when requiredFollow FDA, ISO 13485, ESD, and internal quality system requirements.Maintain clean, organized, and compliant repair workstations and technical areasQualifications:Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience in a technical role with a robotics background preferredGMP and ISO knowledge requiredPersonal computer proficiency with MS Office is requiredMust have strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to function in a fast-paced operations and repair environment supporting field inventory, loaner systems, and depot repair activitiesMust be able to make solid decisions that effectively support the business and company policiesExperience with troubleshooting, loading and testing computers a plusServices experience (e.g., Clinical Services/Biomed, Radiology) and understand healthcare capital equipment.Knowledge of quality and/or reliability engineering is a plusTravel and/or Physical Requirements:Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlRequired to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsRequired to possess specific visons abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focusOur Values :Our Life Moves Us philosophy is built on four values: Passionate About Innovation, Customer Focused, Teamwork, and Driven.Passionate about Innovation : Improving patient care by delivering advanced technology to our customers is at the core of what we do.
