Job summary

Provost & Pritchard is seeking associate to senior civil engineers with experience in water, sewer, and stormwater projects for public agencies and private developers. Strong client relations, multidisciplinary teamwork, and problem solving are essential. Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required.

Qualified candidates will have municipal infrastructure design knowledge and be able to work on feasibility studies, design, and construction projects. Strong communication skills are a must.

Qualifications

• Active California PE license or licensed in another state and willing to sit for CA license within 6 months
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with emphasis on fluid mechanics, water treatment/supply, hydraulic machines, soil mechanics, or related courses
• 5 years of experience in municipal infrastructure projects and client-facing work
• 10 years of experience leading and directing teams in studies, investigations, and designs for clients

Summary

Provost & Pritchard is offering opportunities for associate and senior civil engineers with a of experience working in water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure projects for public agencies and private developers. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build relationships and work closely with clients, and work in multidisciplinary project design teams. Candidates will have experience working on feasibility study, design, and construction projects with the ability to solve problems independently and in a team environment. Bilingual in Spanish is not required but is a plus.

Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of civil engineering design for municipal infrastructure projects and be able to apply their knowledge in a practical manner. We work on a variety of development projects ranging from residential communities to recreational facilities to heavy industrial developments. We work with a diverse group of private clients and public agencies. Serious candidates must have an interest and/or experience in areas such as:

• Feasibility Studies
• Urban Water Planning
• New/Replacement Infrastructure
• Project Planning and Design
• Project Funding Assistance Applications
• Water and/or Sewer System

Duties

Candidates must show an understanding of water resources engineering and be able to apply their knowledge in a practical manner. Serious candidates must have an understanding, interest, and experience in areas such as:

Qualifications

For Associate level candidates:

• Must hold an active California PE license or licensed in another state and be willing to sit for CA license within 6 months of hire
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field with emphasis on fluid mechanics, water treatment/supply, hydraulic machines, soil mechanics, or related courses of study
• 5 years of experience working on engineering studies, investigations, and designs for municipal infrastructure, delivering positive results for clients
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

For Senior level candidates:

• Must hold an active California PE license or licensed in another state and be willing to sit for CA license within 6 months of hire
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field with emphasis on fluid mechanics, water treatment/supply, hydraulic machines, soil mechanics, or related courses of study
• 10 years of experience leading and directing work teams in studies, investigations, and designs delivering positive results for clients
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects
• Have a general understanding of infrastructure construction techniques
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
