Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Structured Finance practice in the United States. You will review credit payments and loan documents, develop and validate complex cash flow models, and support real estate securitizations and associated due diligence.

You will interact with clients, help manage engagement work programs, and, for senior roles, assist with staffing and budgets. Authorization to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• One year of recent relevant experience in financial services, structured finance, mortgage banking, corporate finance, trustee payment operations, rating agency or advisory services; four years of fixed income analysis.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an appropriate field.
• Strong knowledge in US GAAP, IFRS, SEC financial reporting issues with modeling experience preferred, particularly Intex, Bloomberg or Imake tools.

KPMG is currently seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Structured Finance practice.

Responsibilities

• Review credit payments and whole loan documentation to verify accuracy; prepare client deliverables (agreed-upon procedures report) and working papers supporting our findings
• Review, validate, and develop financial cash flow models including mortgage (MBS) and asset-backed securities (ABS), collateralized debt obligation (CDO), collateralized loan obligations (CLO), auction rate securities, residual assets, mortgage-servicing assets (MSR), and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS)
• Work with engagement teams performing due diligence procedures related to real estate securitizations of various securities collateralized by mortgages and leases on all types of CRE assets
• Assist with compliance testing related to client agreements with investment banks, issuers, regulators, government agencies, and investors
• Interact with clients and team members to achieve engagement objectives as well as, execute against engagement work programs developed by managers and directors

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Associate

• Assist with managing and staffing deal workflow to team members, creating and maintaining budgets, onboarding clients, preparing various documentation and final deliverables internally and to clients

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent relevant experience in the financial services industry, structured finance, mortgage banking, corporate finance, trustee payment operations, rating agency or advisory services; minimum four years of recent experience in fixed income analysis
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an appropriate field
• Strong current knowledge in one of the following: United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) financial reporting issues, bankruptcies, business combinations or financial restatements along with programming and modeling experience related to structured finance is highly preferred, particularly Intex, Bloomberg and/or Imake modeling tools
• Demonstrated ability to connect with senior executives of leading organizations to generate new business relationships and projects
• Willingness and ability to travel
